Italian coffee: Espresso

Italian coffee is most always referred to “espresso”.

The word comes from the fact that the coffee is brewed quickly. Espresso roast varies from region to region. In general, when buying espresso beans or ground, you should look for a brown color, the beans should be relatively dry. Also, when you order an espresso in Italy you simply ask for a “caffè”.

We’ve seen espresso roasts that are very dark or even lack and very oily and we avoid those. Here’s an assortment of Italian espresso in beans or already ground.

Italian Olive Oil

In recent years, thanks to the growing popularity of the Mediterranean diet, olive oil has taken a big part in various dishes across the globe. Extra-Virgin Olive oil is perhaps the most prized because of its intense flavor and it’s usually poured over fresh salads, appetizers, etc.

Italian olive oil is considered one of the best. Italians literally go through a few bottles of olive oil a month! However, because it comes from Italy, it does not mean that the olives are from Italy; it could be a mix of various oils, mainly from Greece and Spain along with Italy.

We have tried to select olive oil from Italy but you are encouraged to look at the label for more information.
